FIND SOMETHING THAT YOUR FAITH CAN GRAB ONTO | Pt.1

FIND SOMETHING THAT YOUR FAITH CAN GRAB ONTO | Pt.1

In life you’ll find there some things you can do and some things you can’t do. There are many reasons for this, but one of the main reasons for our limitation of activity and or our acceleration toward accomplishment is the “condition of our faith”. I use the term “condition” because I believe, according to the Word of God, that there is no limitation to one’s faith. The Scripture always speaks of faith in limitless terms.

(Mark 9:23)

“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

(Mark 11:23)

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

The limit here in such verses is not with faith. It is only with us. It is evident by how much we do or do not use the tools of faith which God has committed to our stewardship. The condition of our faith is often in proportion with the lifestyle we’ve chosen and the daily habits we’ve committed to or neglected to employ. There is no limit with God therefore there can be no limit with faith, for the faith which we’ve been gifted with is not our own faith; it is God’s own faith (Gal.2:20).

So we must pay careful attention to the condition of our lives spiritually, and thus the condition of our faith. Are we feeding our faith daily, saying and doing things that stimulate its power and unleash its potential in our lives? Or are we doing things that distance us from the faith life, which is the very life of God, causing us to live according to the sinful ways of man in unbelief, self-doubt, with a scarcity limiting mind-set? Only you can answer these questions when you’re ready to start being brutally honest with yourself and quit blaming others for your lack and limitations.

For this series of articles I wish to discuss the subject of: “finding something for your faith to grab onto”. Not everyone can grab onto the same things. Not everyone can grab onto the same levels of achievement by faith where they currently are in their walk, and there’s a reason for this. Let’s look into it together and find out why.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

(Matt.9:27-30)

27 “When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”

In this story two blind men came to Jesus believing for something. How do we know they were believing for something? Because Jesus asked them some questions to “locate” their faith. This is what you must do in your life. You must ask yourself honest questions and locate where your faith is.

When you ask yourself the right series of questions and find out what’s really in your heart then your spirit will be able to latch onto something to believe for, and see through to manifestation by faith. How do you know what that is? When you locate it in your spirit it will make sense to you. Your spirit, your heart within, will say something back to you like, “Well of course I can believe for that. That’s so me,” or “I can see myself living that way or walking in that blessing”. Remember, if you can’t see it in your spirit, if you can’t see it with the eyes of your heart, with the eyes of your faith, then you will never walk in it tangibly. You must see it in your spirit first before you can see it with your natural eyes.

In one way, according to revealed truth in Scripture, the works that you walk in today by faith have already happened in God (Rev.13:8). This is why the bible says that we were created in Christ Jesus “unto” good works, that God created beforehand that we should walk in them (Eph.2:10). This is why when we truly grab onto something by faith with our spirit man it feels like we’ve already done it. It’s because it was prepared “beforehand” when we were created in Christ Jesus, in eternity past. As old as God is is as old as those works which you’re presently walking out by faith. So look for this marker. When you grab onto something that is so established in you that it feels more like a memory then something you're dreaming about for the future, then you're grabbing onto something with the God kind of faith that is a great investment of your time and energy. You're grabbing onto the works you were created to walk in!

Tomorrow we will continue this series.
