(Ex.30:30-33)
30 “And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests.
31 “And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.
32 It shall not be poured on man’s flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you.
33 Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be [i]cut off from his people.’ ”
In this video Stephen talks about something near and dear to his heart: the anointing for full-time ministry. As you’ll see from the scriptures, the anointing oil for ministry is sacred, and we should fear God when we ask for this anointing and when we use it. The anointing is supernatural power and divine enablement. When this precious gift comes to the minister for the work of the ministry they must seek God and search the scriptures to discover the function of this anointing, and they must be faithful to that calling. The anointing is not given to manipulate people, make money with, or be famous with. May the Lord cleanse his church and restore the sanctity of this holy oil in the church.
